Fuego is one handsome CHONK and definitely embodies the term “absolute unit.” 😂 He is a stunning NY12 British Longhair imported from Europe, with the big teddy-bear build, gorgeous coat, and adorable round face that I absolutely love.
But the best thing about Fuego is, hands down, his temperament. He is absolute perfection! He is incredibly friendly, affectionate, snuggly, and has truly never met a stranger. He loves people and is always happy to soak up as much attention as he can get.
Temperament is one of the most important things to me in my breeding program, which makes Fuego especially valuable to Butter Bears. He's obviously a very pretty face—but his incredibly sweet personality is what makes me love him the most.

One of my favorite things about Fuego is seeing just how much of himself he passes down to his babies! His kittens consistently embody his incredibly sweet, friendly temperament, which is exactly what I hoped he would bring to our program.
And somehow, so many of them come out looking like tiny little Fuego clones. 🥹 From their chunky teddy-bear faces to their fluffy golden coats and sweet personalities, you can definitely tell who their daddy is!
Watching his babies grow up and seeing that same loving, social personality come through generation after generation is one of the reasons I’m so excited to have Fuego as such an important part of Butter Bears.

Echocardiogram/HCM Testing
why heart testing matters
An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of the heart used to screen for abnormalities such as HCM, a known life-threatening health concern in British Longhairs. Echocardiogram's are additional level of testing that most breeders do not perform and rely primarily on genetic testing, but we choose to take this extra step because DNA testing alone cannot rule out all forms of heart disease.
Our Process
Our breeding process is carefully designed to ensure the health and well-being of our dogs. We conduct extensive health screenings and genetic testing to ensure that our puppies are free of any hereditary diseases or conditions. We also provide our dogs with the best possible care, including proper nutrition, exercise, and socialization.
